PAC Club Cross Country Challenge
Club Team Challenge & Open race


The PAC Club Cross Country Challenger was created for running clubs, athletic clubs, college, high schools and others to come together to tests their clubs ability against each other. The host club of this race will be Pearson’s Athletic Club.

This race will also give athletes competing in the 2012 USATF National Club XC Championships (held in SEATTLE) another chance to get a cross country race in. Teams make up of 5 individuals from the same athletic club.

An open invitational to; Fairhaven Runners, Club Northwest, RunningShoes.com, Footworx, GBRC, Girls on the Run, Lummi Rez Runners, Seattle Running Club, WWU (and all other college/universities), semahoo sunrunners , and all high schools*

*high school athletes can compete with 5 athletes from the same high school but CANNOT and will not be allowed to compete using the school name or with a school uniform. Using your schools mascot name is allowed.

Cost: $75 per team* ($150 combined);
$10 unattached individual - 5k/8k

*Unlimited number of participants per team

The Course: Men’s 8000-meters and Women’s 5000-meters:

Registration: E-mail entries no later than September 23rd by 5pm to jrap85@msn.com Please list everyone who may participate. There is no limit to individual entrants per team. The registration fee will be $75 per team per gender ($150 total) of $10 dollars per individual. ($5 for youth 3k) Please make checks payable to: "Harrier Track Club"

Scratches/Changes:  Please make scratches/changes before the Youth 3k race at the main shelter at 9am.

Awards:  Placques will be given to the first place men’s & women’s teams in the 8k/5k as well as the overall combined "Club Champion" (Lowest scores combined)

Calls and Check In:  We will have a clock counting down to both races. First call will be given 10 minutes prior to the start of each race, at which time we ask athletes to move to the start. Final call will be a gunshot and/or announcement about 3 minutes out.

Starting Boxes: Each team will have a starting box. I will hand draw them!

Splits:  Each kilometer in all races will be marked. Splits will be called at each mile, provided there is an adequate supply of volunteers.

Results: Results will be posted online at www.pearsonsathletics.com & www.gbrc.net as well as e-mailed that day to each school participating and to the media.
