COURSE MAP - The Ferndale Flat and Fast 10k

Ferndale Flat and Fast 10k series was created for the athlete to be able to evaluate their training through comparison of a race time. Our 10k road race will help you have a great indication of where you are as far as fitness and training throughout the year. Each 10k is at the end of a quarter.

Where: Conoco Phillips Sports Complex parking lot, off 2nd Ave.
            Ferndale, WA

Registration - 8:30-9:40am @ Start / Finish Line - Parking lot;
          Race - 10k -   10 am
                     2M  -  10:
                     Awards - 11:15 am

  Pre-Registration: by the Wednesday before each race = $10

          Day of Race registration Only = $15

Awards: Plaques to Overall 10k winners. (Male & Female)

Splits: You will be given a Mile, 5k, and 5M split during the 10k.

Mile Markers: 1M, 5k, 5M, 10k

Aid Station: Water/Gatorade/Cups will be given at the Start/Finish and the turn around point. (5k) There will be no FOOD at any point!!

Course Description: Leave the softball parking lot onto 2nd Ave. Turn left on Cherry which veers right onto 3rd. Turn left onto Alder which veers right onto 4th. Turn left onto Main St. At the library turn left onto Douglas. At the stop sign continue on the right along Douglas. No more turns other than those the road makes. It becomes South Church and then Lampman before circling a cone and heading back along the same path to the start. Mile splits will be given at the 1 mile mark, 5k, and 5 miles.

Directions: Take Exit 262 “Main Street Exit”. Head west into town and continue till about ¾ mile until you cross bridge over the Nooksack River and make a left at the second stop light (2nd Ave.). Conoco Phillips Sports Complex parking lot is ¼ mile down the road in front of you. Make no turns.
